The Addictions Recovery Support for Youth and Families diploma program at Freedom Academy prepares you for a new career in a wide range of settings. These may include any facility that deals with clients who have alcohol and substance use problems, or agencies and facilities providing community services, with an emphasis on the needs of children, youth and those responsible for them.
The program is broken down into four parts: Common Skills, Addictions Core Skills, Child and Youth Skills, and Workplace Skills. In each part, you will get hands-on training in key concepts relating to working in social services.
Once you have completed the four modules successfully, the program concludes with a 300-hour practicum, where you will be working with clients in the community.
