In today’s high-tech world, electronic control systems play a vital role in manufacturing, processing, servicing and more – a lot of the things we buy and depend on have been created or impacted by control systems. Freedom Academy control systems programs teach students how to plan, design and develop systems that direct and manipulate other operating systems.
If you’re interested in a career in electrical and electronic engineering with a focus on control systems, here’s what you need to know.
Control Systems Courses
Control systems programs at Freedom Academy consist of a variety of courses that combine theory with practical applications. Common courses, with both lecture and lab components, include electric and AC circuits, process instrumentation systems, CAD (computer aided design), interface design and control, and power generation and distribution.
Math and physics play a big role in understanding and designing control systems. Math and physics courses relevant to electrical engineering are strategically placed throughout programs.
Co-op terms are also offered in some of the programs, where students will apply their technical knowledge to real-life situations.
